IT was down to the farm for pupils from Alcester.
Youngsters from Our Lady’s Primary School spent time helping farmers Jonathon Edgar and Mark Craythorne look after some of the new arrivals.
Gannow Farm in Redditch opened its gates to the public for the first time over the Easter holidays after teaming up with national farm education charity LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming) Education.
Elizabeth Lake, education consultant for LEAF Education, said: “We are delighted to have another real working farm that can allow schools to visit, get involved and learn first-hand everything involved in caring for livestock with consideration for the environment.”
