ONE of the nation’s most idyllic places is ‘right up our street’ according to a UK-wide survey.
A poll of 1,000 people chose Stratford’s own Waterside as one of the prettiest streets in the country.
The area from Waterside up through into Southern Lane came fourth in the poll conducted by coach company National Express, in a bid to inspire holidaymakers this Easter.
Waterside, with the Bancroft Gardens and RST alongside, followed behind some impressive locations including The Shambles in York, The Royal Mile in Edinburgh and The Circus in Bath, respectively.
National Express boss Chris Hardy said: “You can hardly fail to appreciate the quintessentially English charms of Waterside and we hope our list encourages more people to come and enjoy Stratford this Easter – as well as inspire people locals to visit somewhere new.”
