Warm Hub now fixture of village life in Bidford

Stratford Editorial 21st Sep, 2021   0

BIDFORD now has its own community Warm Hub.

It follows weekly visits the Mobile Warm Hub minibus – run by Warwickshire charities WRCC and VASA – which supported people to socialise in a friendly safe outdoors space.

The Warm Hub project in Warwickshire helps local communities fight social isolation by creating inclusive, accessible events – like Bidford’s free coffee morning – where everyone can come together for a chat and to get information about community support groups.

Bill Fleming, parish council chair, was determined to launch the weekly event in the village hall, as the outdoors mobile coffee morning had made such a difference to people over the past few months.

He said: “It came at just the right time for the community, and the parish council is delighted to be carrying on the great work that the Mobile Warm Hub started.

“I’m sure the minibus team will still be popping in for coffee and a chat now and then!”

Bidford Warm Hub’s community event runs every Wednesday from 10am to noon in The Crawford Memorial Hall.
