Twilight Walk strolls out in Warwick for The Brain Tumour Charity

THE TWILIGHT Walk returns to Warwick on Sunday September 30.

The 10k walk, organised by The Brain Tumour Charity, is expected to see hundreds of walkers put their best foot forward to raise funds, celebrate loved ones, and help on the path towards finding a cure.

Warwick is one of three locations – along with Edinburgh and Windsor – to host The Twilight Walk.

Charlotte Stanton, from Gloucestershire, who took part in last year’s walk in Warwick, said: “Me, my two children Ava and Immy and my mother-in-law Jackie completed The Twilight Walk in memory of my late husband Charles.

“I have completed a number of charity challenges by myself over the past few years so it was lovely to be able to do something as a family.

“The whole walk was so well organised and the support we received along the walk was incredible.

“It was a fantastic to see so many people of all ages coming together walking for such a fantastic cause.”

Geraldine Pipping, the charity’s fund-raising director, said: “The Twilight Walk unites our community as together we take the steps towards beating brain tumours.

“We receive no government funding and rely 100 per cent on voluntary donations and gifts in wills so it’s only through the efforts of our fantastic fundraisers that we can bring hope to the thousands of people who are diagnosed with a brain tumour each year and to work towards our twin goals to double survival and halve the harm caused by brain tumours.”
