Tudor dynasty Made in 48 Hours at Kenilworth's Priory Theatre

Stratford Editorial 20th Jul, 2017   0

THEY will be doing it again in 48 hours at Kenilworth’s Priory Theatre.
Made in 48 hours will be presenting The Tudor Dynasty on Sunday July 30. The story is a retelling of the tale of Henry VIII and his six wives but set against the back drop of the 1980s American oil industry.
Yet again the team will be learning lines, rehearsing moves, finding costumes, putting up the set and delivering a rip-roaring comedy all in just two days.
Director Sam Harris, one of the founders of Made in 48 Hours has been organising these productions on an annual basis for the last 18 years.
Mrs Harris said: “We started out with just a combined cast and crew of ten and it’s wonderful that we’re not only still going but also to see how much we’ve grown over the years”.
“I have never been able to work out how the cast manage to learn their lines so quickly. It’s amazing what you can retain. But sometimes people forget things and we have to get out of it which always seems to give the audience a good laugh. It’s great fun. We are so excited to be welcomed to the Loft Theatre this year and are extremely grateful for their help and support.”
“As always the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to charity and this year’s show will be supporting Tash’s Bashes.
Tickets, priced £10, are available by calling 07886415129 or by emailing [email protected]. Any remaining will be available on the door. The play starts at 7.30pm.
