Three arrested in drugs crackdown

TWO men and a boy have been arrested during a Warwickshire-wide police bid to tackle drug crime.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested on possession of cannabis in Leamington. The drug was seized from the boy’s house after officers arrested him on suspicion of burglary in connection with an incident in the town earlier in the month. The boy has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

And two men from Warwick, aged 27 and 40, were arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs in Pickard Street after officers spotted a suspected drug deal. Class A drugs were seized. The 40-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of theft following an incident at a shop in Cressida Close earlier in the month. Both men have been released under investigation.
