VOLUNTEERS running a tea and chat group are hoping to bag a windfall to help fund transport.
Stratford’s Tea and Chat group runs every two weeks at The Rosebird Community Hall to bring those feeling lonely and isolated together.
And the group – organised by Coun Kate Rolfe – has been shortlisted to receive a £500 donation from Skipton Building Society.
Coun Rolfe said the money would fund the picking up and returning of residents to their homes for at least a year.
The group is appealing to the public to vote and plans to meet with Stratford mayor Victoria Alcock to help represent its cause.
