MUSICAL film fans will be in their element as Stratford College students bring the nation’s much-loved musicals from screen to stage.
The college is performing Musicals ROCK! VIII – Back to the Movies’ at the Stratford PlayHouse from Monday to Wednesday (May 13 to 15).
Songs from the movie world’s most popular musicals, including Sister Act, Chicago and Fame will be showcased in the students’ end-of-year finale.
Musical theatre student Calum Howard said: “There are a lot of dance-focused musicals and we’ve got different styles ranging from 1920s Fosse-style jazz dancing to 1990s hip hop – it’s a very physical show.”
