VOLUNTEERS have been thanked for their support by Stratford Samaritans.
A garden party was held on the grounds of Avon Boating for more than 100 people who give their time for free to support residents and those who call the charity for advice.
The volunteers were entertained by local musicians Andrew James and Louise James and enjoyed a hog roast and ice creams.
Branch director Phil Cazaly said: “Our volunteers deserve their recognition, around five million people contact Samaritans every year, they are often in distress and despair and we are there for them whatever they have done and whatever life has done to them.
“Stratford branch is growing strongly and now has 120 volunteers and has the ambition to continue to grow.”
