Stratford podcast aims to highlight support for families

Stratford Editorial 2nd Feb, 2021   0

PODCAST Stratford Calling is spreading the word about support available to families impacted by the pandemic.

February marks the launch of a new scheme Stratford For Families, courtesy of the podcast hosted and run by resident Emma Gurdag.

Throughout the month, listeners will hear from fitness-boosting organisations including OneFitMama and Zest Dance as well as charities Barnardo’s and LifeSpace, among others.

The programme will include podcast interviews released every Monday, online events over Zoom and videos on the Stratford Calling YouTube channel.

There will be dance class taster sessions, bedtime poems, mental health support for young people and question and answer sessions to discuss all aspects of family life.

Emma said: “There is so much in the area for families. Families with children of all ages have been affected by the pandemic in so many different ways. By highlighting some of what Stratford has to offer, I hope to help families find out what is available to them and where they can access support, activities and advice if they need it.”

Families can keep updated on the Stratford Calling social media pages and YouTube channel or email [email protected] for more information. The podcast is available on stratfordcalling.buzzsprout.com or on most podcast providers.
