Stratford mayor marks national tennis table day

MAYOR Kate Rolfe picked up a paddle to mark National Table Tennis Day in Stratford.

A table was set up in Bell Court shopping centre on Thursday to give all ages a chance to try their hand at the sport which helps people get active and stay fit.

And Coun Rolfe was among those who took up a bat – also known as a paddle – to give it a go.

And those who were not able to get along on the national day, can play for free on the table in Bell Court throughout the summer – weather permitting of course.
