Stratford Hospital kitchen garden planned as NHS staff thank you

Stratford Editorial 14th May, 2020   0

A CHARITY is looking to turn a derelict area of Stratford Hospital into a vibrant kitchen garden for NHS staff to enjoy and relax in during their downtime as a thank you for their tireless work during the pandemic.

The area, being created by Forest of Hearts, will also provide great learning opportunities for health and well-being projects who work in the community.

All proceeds from our shop sales and donations go towards making the project a reality.

The charity is selling a ‘Grow your own Victory Garden Kit’ – with free nationwide delivery – to raise funds. The kit contains everything to grow your own edibles from plot to plate and includes nine different packets of seeds – beans, kale, peas, chard, spinach, fennel, courgettes, beetroot, calendula – together with full instructions to grow vegetables and herbs in just three square feet.
