STRATFORD already has a River Festival, Literary Festival and Food Festival, and this year the town is getting its own Folk Festival.
Stratford Artshouse is hosting the first Stratford Folk Festival over the weekend of June 3 and 4 and it is not starting small with some big names lined up to perform.
Those taking to the stage include Show of Hands, Cara Dillon, Sam Kelly, Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman, alongside local talent such as Leon Gormley, Carrick and Fleetwood Cave.
The weekend will also feature workshops and storytelling, together with everything from face painting to food.
Music co-ordinator Tori Robinson said: “What an absolutely truly brilliant line up we have for the festival. Not only the best folk artists in the country headlining but also top BBC folk award winners in with our very own incredibly talented local musicians.”
