STORM Dennis brought widespread flooding to Coventry and Warwickshire.
Swathes of Abbey Fields in Kenilworth were submerged and the ford next to the town’s castle was closed to traffic.
Many fields were also left underwater as rivers burst their banks. The Avon, Leam and other rivers were already swollen following Storm Ciara the previous weekend.
But despite also being battered by strong winds, south Warwickshire escaped relatively lightly compared to nearby Herefordshire and Worcestershire, where West Midlands Ambulance Service was kept busy.
