THE SHORTLIST for the second Coventry and Warwickshire Culture and Tourism Awards has been announced.
The event is being organised by the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce and Touch FM owners Quidem, and will be hosted at the Ricoh Arena on September 22.
Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership, Coventry City Council, Shakespeare’s England and Warwickshire County Council are also supporting the awards.
Designed to showcase the range of attractions, venues and experiences on offer in the region, nominees have been shortlisted in 13 categories.
Among the titles up for grabs are Artisan Award, Kids and Families Award, History and Heritage Award, Customer Service Award and Tourism Event of the Year.
Steve Orchard, CEO of Quidem, said: “We are delighted to be shining a spotlight on the individuals, organisations and visitor attractions which make Coventry and Warwickshire a great place to visit.
“World class events with global impact have been staged in the region over the past 12 months and the shortlist reflects the growing importance of tourism and culture to our regional economy.
“The area is packed full of marvellous visitor attractions and world class tourism assets and we are going to celebrate them in style. Along with our partners, we are ready to blow this region’s trumpet!”
