THE SHAKESPEARE Birthplace Trust (SBT) has announced that as a mark of respect it will close all its properties on the day of the Queen’s funeral.
The Trust announced today (Monday) that it will close all Shakespeare’s Family Homes and the Reading Room in Stratford on Monday (September 19) when the late Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral takes place.
The Great Garden of New Place, in Chapel Street, will remain open however, from 10am to 4pm, as a space of public reflection.
All visitors with pre-booked tickets have been informed.
