Shakespeare Birthplace to host Halloween house party

Stratford Editorial 19th Oct, 2019   0

A HALLOWEEN house party with a twist is being held at Shakespeare’s Birthplace as part of the national Museums at Night festival.

Mischievous hosts Puck and Ariel will introduce outrageous characters from yesteryear at the Henley Street venue on November 1 and 2.

Guests are invited to revel in the historic building and the famous street, with a chance to enjoy performances and play a part in the quest to shape Shakespeare’s destiny.

House Party on Henley Street is commissioned by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust (SBT) and presented by Bristol-based creative company Compass Presents.

Philippa Walusimbi, SBT creative programme co-ordinator said: “We’re excited to offer people a chance to explore this historic building in a whole new light. It’s a great opportunity to do something different in Stratford, and what better way to celebrate Halloween weekend than to party at Shakespeare’s pad.”

There will be three performances each evening – 5.30pm, 7pm and 8.30pm – each lasting around 90 minutes. Tickets cost £16 and include food and drink. Fancy dress optional.
