RSC actor drops into Shakespeare's schoolroom for role research

Stratford Editorial 2nd Jun, 2018   0

ACTOR David Acton recently popped into Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall for a little research.

David will shortly start rehearsals for the RSC’s forthcoming production of The Merry Wives of Windsor, in which he plays Sir Hugh Evans, who it is believed Shakespeare based on his former teacher Master Thomas Jenkins.

During his visit David met up with Alan Wales, who now welcomes visitors to the schoolroom as Master Jenkins. Visitors receive a Tudor lesson from the Tudor teacher.

The Merry Wives of Windsor runs at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre from August 4 to September 22.
