A FORMER Romanian street dog has which bolted just one week after arriving in the country has been found.

Bearded Collie Ivy had been adopted by Lorna Milward in Stratford’s Old Town but managed to escape out of the front door on December 12 and was missing until January 6.

The pup – which is believed to be around eight-years-old – was spotted across the town, Shipston and even Moreton in the Marsh but managed to evade capture attempts.

But she was finally reunited with her delighted owner when she returned to Stratford and Lorna found her.

A Facebook group to help find the dog amassed more than 1,000 followers and people were out daily helping to look for her.

Lorna told the Observer: “I’m in a bit of shock. I have to keep checking she’s really here.

“The team who have been helping have been amazing, Thank you so much.

“She’s such an incredible dog and it’s a huge relief to know she’s home.”
