Raise money for Shakespeare Hospice with Santa Fun Run

HUNDREDS of Santas are abandoning their sleigh and pulling on their running shoes in aid of the Shakespeare Hospice.

The charity holds its annual 5k Santa Fun Run in Stratford town centre on Saturday December 5 from 11am.

Money raised will help the Shottery-based hospice provide support for those affected by a life-limiting illness.

Organiser Vikki Calcutt said: “The Christmas countdown is now on, so what better way to get into the festive spirit than dressing up for our Santa Fun Run.

“Last year we brought a lot of excitement to the town with shoppers watching on as hundreds of Santas ran by. We want to encourage lots more Santas to come along and run, walk, or ‘jingle all the way’ supporting their local hospice.”

Entry costs £15 for adults including a Santa outfit. Entry for children is £7. Those under 12 can wear their own festive fancy dress with a prize being given for the best costume.
