PUPILS and a choir group in Shipston will be hitting the high notes with their new piano.
The Stour Singers are celebrating 40 years of the society and to mark the occasion bought a new piano to share with Shipston Primary School where they rehearse each week.
Members of the Stour Singers were invited to an assembly where choir director Richard Emms fitted a plaque to the piano with the words ‘A gift from Stour Singers on their 40th Anniversary’.
Head of Stour Federation, Christian Hilton said: “The Stour Singers have a long association with the school and it is a wonderful gesture to provide us with a new piano for our benefit as well as theirs.
“Children are queuing up to play our new instrument in Achievement Assemblies on Friday mornings.”
