PLAY was the order of the day in Stratford this week.
The annual national ‘play day’ event saw the recreation ground taken over by youngsters out to enjoy themselves.
While some battled it out in sumo suits, others provided a human perch for a meerkat on the look-out, and for some it was a case of conquering the climbing wall.
The event, organised by Stratford District Council, was part of the national ‘play day’ celebration, which began more than 30 years ago to highlight the importance of play in children’s lives.
