New pathway opened as part of redevelopment of Age UK Coventry and Warwickshire's Paintings Plantation

Stratford Editorial 9th Jun, 2021   0

LEAMINGTON’S mayor officially opened a new pathway as part of the continued redevelopment of Age UK Coventry and Warwickshire’s Paintings Plantation.

This unique woodland setting offers an area of calm and relaxation for anyone affected by dementia, including their carers.

It can be visited by prior arrangement to ensure everyone using the area is kept safe.

The pathway is set in the grounds of Campion School, with students encouraged to participate in maintenance, development, planting and growing vegetables.

Their voluntary work can also account for the requirements of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme which is soon set to resume.

Painting’s Plantation commemorates Norman Painting OBE and his contribution as patron and supporter of Age Concern Warwickshire, which later became Age UK Warwickshire.
