Minimal disruption to refuse and recycling collections this Christmas

Stratford Editorial 15th Dec, 2015 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

CHANGES to refuse and recycling collections over the Christmas and New Year will only affect some households in the district.

Only properties due for a collection on a Bank Holiday will have a day change. There will be no collections of rubbish, recyclables or green waste on Friday December 25 or Friday January 1. Instead collections will be on Monday December 28 and Saturday January 2.

Coun Mike Brain, district recycling spokesman, said: “The festive season is the only time refuse and recycling collections are affected in Stratford district. By only changing the collections that fall on Bank Holidays, this ensures that residents have the least amount of disruption possible.”
