SEVERN Trent’s water saving challenge has supported Warwickshire mental health charity Springfield Mind with a £12,000 donation.

Severn Trent set its customers the challenge of saving a daily average of 150 million litres of water and raise £1million for local charities, after the hot weather at the end of May and into early June saw record levels of demand.

Households in Warwickshire saved nearly 12 per cent throughout June

Springfield Mind fund-raiser Emily Styles said: “We are thrilled and so thankful that Severn Trent have chosen to donate vital funds to support us with our mission to promote wellbeing and prevent mental health problems in Warwickshire and Worcestershire.

“Severn Trent and their customers have raised an incredible £12,000 to help fund the services that Springfield Mind offer to those struggling with mental health. This donation will make a huge difference and touch the lives of so many people in the local area. Helping us to reach isolated people to provide mental health support, in a time when local services to promote mental wellbeing are more important than ever, their support is hugely

appreciated.”
