A MAN was left trapped in his car for more than an hour and a woman had to be airlifted to hospital after a crash in Shipston.
The smash happened at around 11am this morning (Thursday) on the A3400 to Tredington.
One of the cars ended up in a hedge and both drivers were trapped.
Both vehicles had suffered front end damage.
A middle-aged woman was able to get out of the car after firefighters cut off the door. She was treated at the scene for potentially serious injuries and then airlifted to University Hospital Coventry.
It took more than one hour to get the driver of the second car out.
The man, who was in his 60s, had less serious injuries and was given pain relief and immobilised before being taken by ambulance to the same hospital.
