FUN-LOVING Shakespeare Lions are helping bring a smile to young people’s faces.

The lions have raised £2,500 to help fund Shakespeare Lions Fun Days. These will include events for young people aged 16 to 24 who have life limiting illnesses and who access the transitional care service at the Shottery-based hospice.

They will also include activities such as pantomimes and outdoor adventure days for children who access the hospice’s children’s bereavement service and who are bereaved or facing bereavement.

Alison Burford, hospice lead children and family support practitioner said: “Thanks to the generosity of The Shakespeare Lions, we can provide some really exciting activities for the bereaved children and young people, allowing them to come together and have fun.

“This will make an incredible impact on the children and young people we support.”
