A LIFE-SIZE teddy bear was found close to a pub after being stolen from outside a shop in Bell Court.

The huge toy was taken from children’s clothing store Balou on March 3 with staff saying they were ‘so disappointed’.

But after an appeal on social media and by local police, the bear was eventually reunited with his owners.

He was found by the Salmon Tail pub on Evesham Road and was later returned by officers.

A police spokesman said: “We are really pleased to reunite Baloo the bear to his rightful owner after he was stolen from outside his shop in Bell Court.

“After a photo appeared on social media and a phone call from a member of the public, the team were able to locate Balou and bring him back.

“While conducting local enquires, we were given some vital information of the possible offender. Enquires into this person are on going.

“Without the help of the public, this may not of happened.”
