BUSINESSES are being reminded it is the last chance to claim a reduction in rates.
This week Stratford District Council is contacting those eligible for 30 per cent off their business rates.
Businesses which can apply will have received a letter in March and another in July.
Revenue spokeswoman Coun Jo Barker said: “As the funding for this scheme comes from central government, there is a stipulation the business must confirm it is eligible to receive the relief.
“If no signed form has been received the requirement is for councils to remove the relief and this will generate an increased bill.
“We want to help businesses receive the rate reductions they are entitled to, but in order to receive it they need to complete the relevant paperwork and we are encouraging businesses to do this.”
