CHARITABLE pupils at KES have raised over £7,000 for WaterAid.
Over two-years youngsters at the school have been fundraising for one local and one international charity.
Pupils voted to support Water Aid and the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
Prof Eric Findlay from WaterAid said: “On behalf of WaterAid and from those who benefit, my sincere thanks go to the school.
“A child dies every approximately every 15 seconds through the lack of adequate clean water. In Madagascar WaterAid are funding the construction of toilet facilities in schools, currently without and the money raised by the pupils will go a long way to resolving these problems.”
Headmaster Bennet Carr added he hoped pupils felt a ‘great sense of pride’ for helping those who are less fortunate.
