THE WINNERS of the Independent Shop Awards have been announced by Stratford MP Nadhim Zahawi.
Mr Zahawi hosted the awards ceremony at the RSC’s The Other Place, where he presented awards to the winners across six categories.
Nearly 3,000 nominations were received from the community who voted for their favourite businesses in Stratford.
The award winners included –
Best Independent Shop
Winner – Studley Fine Foods, High Street, Studley
Second – Barry the Butcher, Chapel Street, Stratford
Third – Taste of the Country, Market Place, Shipston
Best Independent Hotel/B&B
Winner – The Arden Hotel, Waterside, Stratford
Second – Stratford Limes Hotel, Main Street, Tiddington
Third – Avonlea Guesthouse, Shipston Road, Stratford
Best Independent Café
Winner – Box Brownie, Henley Street, Stratford
Second – Orangemabel, High Street, Alcester
Third – Riverside Tea Garden, Swans Nest Lane, Stratford
Best Independent Restaurant
Winner – Salt, Church Street, Stratford
Second – The Bridge, High Street, Bidford
Third – Aladdin’s Indian Dining, Main Street, Tiddington
Best Independent Pub
Winner – The Stratford Alehouse, Greenhill Street, Stratford
Second – The Crown at Tiddington, Main Street, Tiddington
Third – The Turks Head, High Street, Alcester
Best Independent Village Shop
Winner – Wilmcote Stores, Aston Cantlow Road, Wilmcote
Second – Snitterfield Village Stores, Smiths Lane, Snitterfield
Third – Ilmington Community Shop, Grump Street, Ilmington
