Host of Christmas events set to take place in Stratford district

SHIPSTON Nursing Home’s Gift Fair is set to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.

Handmade arts and crafts, jewellery, sweet treats, Christmas cards, gift wrap and more will be on sale at Townsend Hall on Tuesday (November 17) from 6pm to 9pm , and the following day from 9.30am to 3pm.

Entry is £4 and includes a coffee and homemade biscuit.

A CHARITY Christmas Fayre takes place at Stratford Town Hall next week.

Stocking fillers, toys and Blue Cross Christmas cards and calendars will be available to buy while tucking into mince pies on Wednesday (November 18) from 9.30am to 2pm.

All the money we raise will help us to continue caring for all the animals that come into our rehoming centres and animal hospitals all over the country.”

CAKES, cosmetics and Christmas goodies will be on offer in Henley on Saturday November 21.

St John’s Christmas Bazaar takes place in the church hall on Beaudesert Lane from 11am to 3pm.

Santa will be waiting in his grotto for youngsters while adults will be able to spend time browsing a variety of stalls showcasing everything from books to bric a brac and jewellery to ‘good as new’ clothes.

Hot food and refreshments will be available throughout the day with a raffle and tombola for those feeling lucky.

Proceeds from the event will go towards church funds.

THE SHAKESPEARE Hospice Christmas Fayre is on Saturday November 28.

The fayre at the Shottery hospice will include gift stalls, Christmas music and refreshments from noon.

Entry is £2 (free for children under 12) with all proceeds going to the hospice.
