Historic Hall's Croft damaged by lead thieves

Stratford Editorial 20th Mar, 2017 Updated: 21st Mar, 2017   0

POLICE are appealing for information after Hall’s Croft was damaged by thieves.

It is believed thieves broke into the grounds of the historic Shakespeare Birthplace Trust property and stole lead flashing overnight on Sunday (March 19).

Staff discovered the theft and damage on Monday morning (March 20).

Due to the historical nature of the building the flashing could be very costly to replace.

Anyone with information or who saw anything suspicious in Old Town overnight is urged to call police on 101.
