Foodies prepare to whet appetites for Stratford Food Festival

Stratford Editorial 25th Aug, 2019   0

FOODIES can look forward to the return of Stratford Food Festival next month.

A feast of culinary delights will be dished up across the town centre at the event, organised by Stratforward Business Improvement District (BID), over the weekend of September 21 and 22 with

There will be plenty for visitors to sink their teeth into including 120 food stalls, demo theatre, and food and and ale trails.

Back by popular demand, the £5 Ale Trail returns with a souvenir glass and at least eight samples at different venues.

The trails also offer the chance for festival-goers to sample food from some of Stratford’s eateries for just £5.

And visitors can also enter a charity raffle to win a brand new Citroen for a year, courtesy of the festival’s sponsor, Loxleys Restaurant and Wine Bar, which donated the prize.

Funds will go to local charity Molly Olly’s Wishes which grants wishes to children with terminal or life-threatening illnesses as well as offering support and donating toys and books to young patients and hospitals.

Stratforward marketing and events manager Tor Wilkes said: “A massive thank you has to go out to the 420 Stratford town centre businesses who fund this festival and provide the chance for everyone to see that Stratford’s food and drink industry is a recipe for success.”

Loxleys Restaurant on Sheep Street is selling both festival and raffle tickets in the run-up to the event.
