Flood alert warning as more heavy rain forecast

Stratford Editorial 1st Oct, 2019   0

THIS car almost disappeared from view as it drove through flood water at the ford near Kenilworth Castle at the weekend.

And residents are being warned to be ready for more heavy rain today with the Met Office issuing a yellow weather warning for Warwickshire and the West Midlands.

It means there could be flooding to some homes and businesses and spray and flood water on roads.

The Environment Agency has also issued flood alerts for the rivers Sowe and Sherbourne, together with Canley Brook and Finham Brook around Coventry, for the Avon between Rugby and Bidford, the rivers Leam and Itchen around Leamington, the rivers Arrow and Alne around Alcester, and the River Blythe around Hampton-in-Arden.
