FIRE crews were called to trees on fire in Wellesbourne.
A bonfire of tyres had spread to trees on Walton Road this afternoon (Tuesday) at around 4pm.
Firefighters managed to tackle the blaze using fire hoses.
It follows a number of recent woodland fires across the county caused by discarded waste and barbecue embers.
The fires have prompted warnings from crews about the danger of open flames fuelled by grass parched in the continuing heatwave.
