Firefighters tackle blaze at Wildmoor Spa

Stratford Editorial 4th Mar, 2016 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016

FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze in the laundry room of Wildmoor Spa.

Crews from Stratford, Alcester and Bidford were called to the leisure club on Alcester Road in the early hours of Friday morning (March 4) after an automatic fire alarm was triggered.

A spokesman from Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “On arrival they were faced with a fire at the rear of the building, which was identified as the laundry room.

“The fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters in breathing apparatus, but the smoke from the fire had filled the whole building therefore pressure fans were used to clear the area of smoke.”

An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
