Festive youngsters to shine a light

Stratford Editorial 15th Nov, 2017   0

FESTIVE youngsters are being invited to cast their light at the Guild Chapel in Stratford.

The Mouse and The Light is a free storytelling and craft session taking place on Thursday November 30.

Children of all ages will be invited to explore the power of light and the peace it can bring, through the sharing of stories and a craft session making paper lanterns led by Kate’s Storytree.

The event takes its inspiration from one story in particular – The Mouse and The Light – following the tale of one tiny creature who overcomes the ‘Shadow’ and banishes it for good.

Storyteller Kate Coleman said: “This event is all about celebrating the power of light, and the power we have within us to summon it. The Mouse and The Light is a wonderful story, and we’ll be sharing plenty of others too. We’ll also be casting our own light through our simple craft activity; inviting all children to make their own paper lantern to take away.”

All materials provided. It is open to children of all ages but they must be accompanied by an adult. There is no need to book, The event runs from 4pm to 5pm.
