Escaped Romanian rescue dog found

A RECENTLY-rescued Romanian dog who escaped after becoming spooked has been found.

Crossbreed Jeffrey was rescued late last month by Drew Ricketts from Stratford.

The nervous dog slipped his lead on Monday (December 2) after becoming spooked near Morrisons on Alcester Road.

Owner Drew has been looking tirelessly for the dog, who was seen running into the solar farm.

But earlier today (Thursday) he received a call from Island Meadow Caravan Park in Henley where the dog had been spotted hiding under the caravans.

And after rushing to the site, Drew found his dog and said he is ‘so relieved’ he is finally home.

He told the Observer: “Thank you so much everyone for your help. We are so happy Jeffrey is home.

“From what we know Jeffrey was dumped in kennels in Romania and he had little to do with people in there. He has had very little human contact so is very nervous and shy, but is such a gentle boy.”
