TRAVELLERS have begun rolling into town for the Kenilworth Horse Fair.
Visitors should expect the area to be exceptionally busy this weekend (23 and 24) when the fair takes place on Thick Thorn Island on Leamington Road.
Organisers who have agreed to ban the sale of catapults and work to keep vehicles away from properties.
Police will be patrolling the site throughout the fair – including the evenings – to ensure the safety and smooth running of the event.
And licensed premises and nearby businesses and residents have been advised on how to report problems regarding unacceptable behaviour.
Safer communities manager Peter Cutts, said: “The July Horse Fair was the busiest we have seen and whilst traffic flowed well, there was an unprecedented number of crimes and complaints.”
