Driver dies after car hits tree and sets alight

A DRIVER died after crashing into a tree in Bidford.

The Ford Focus – which was towing a another car – hit a tree on Buckle Street at around 4.30pm on Tuesday (September 19) and the vehicle then set alight.

The air ambulance and paramedics were called to the scene but were unable to save the 21 year-old man.

An ambulance spokeswoman said: “When emergency services arrived they were faced with a car fire following the collision.




“Sadly, nothing could be done to save the driver of the car who was confirmed dead on scene.”

Police officers are appealing for those who saw the car before the incident or with any information to come forward.
