Divertimento to perform English choral music in Southam

A SUMMER concert of English choral music is staged in Southam on Saturday (July 1).

Featuring the voices of Divertimento, the Leamington-based choral group, The Full English – A Peculiarly English Evening, will feature works by Britten, Elgar, Coward and Rutter, as well as Tallis and Purcell.

Divertimento chairman Andrew Mock said: “Our group of 25 singers, drawn from all over the county, will be performing a wide range of works from Britain’s best-loved composers. There will be something for everyone who enjoys choral music, from the 16th century right up to the modern day.”

Tickets for the concert at The Grange Hall, are £10 (£3 children) and are available online at www.divertimento.org.uk, by telephoning 01926 778646, or from Presto Classical in Park Street, Leamington.




The evening starts at 7.30pm.
