A GROUP of trauma doctors out on a bike ride were immediately on hand to help when a car and a motorbike crashed in Clifford Chambers.
Ambulance crews and the Midlands Air Ambulance were also quickly on the scene on Thursday afternoon.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The injured motorcyclist, a man in his late teens, was being treated by the cyclists, who happened to be trauma doctors. Our crews at the scene said they were brilliant.
“He had numerous limb fractures which were splinted at the scene. He was also given pain relief and immobilised with the use of a spinal board and neck collar. He was then flown to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”
