A CONTROVERSIAL music festival planned for up to 10,000 revellers at Stratford Racecourse will not go ahead.
GB Holdings UK withdrew its application to host a three day ‘Stratford Tribute Festival’ – featuring tribute acts from across the UK – at the Luddington Road racecourse in August.
The decision was postponed for further discussion due to concerns from neighbours over potential crime, congestion and excessive noise.
They also worried it might create a ‘mini crime wave’ including drug dealing.
District council environmental health says the applicant had not provided enough details relating to noise and also objected to the plans.
GB Holdings UK has been contacted for comment.
