Conservative Nadhim Zahawi comfortably holds Stratford seat

NADHIM Zahawi has comfortably held the Stratford seat for the Conservatives.

Mr Zahawi secured the seat with 32,657 votes, followed by Labour’s Jeff Kenner with 11,699; Lib-Dem Elizabeth Adams with 6,357; the Green’s Dominic Giles with 1,345. Independent Jandy Spurway received 255 votes, an fellow Independent Tom Darwood 219.

The turnout was 74 per cent, which was 1.6 per cent higher than in 2015.
