ANIMALS and nature are hoped to help children young adults with autism, anxiety and depression at an event in Ashorne.
Community organisation Herd and Grow, which promotes eco-therapy as a form of wellbeing, is hosting its annual open day, on Saturday (August 31), at the farm site in Newbold Road.
Children and families can meet the farm animals and enjoy carnival games, live music, wood fired pizzas, a tombola and a prize auction.
All money raised will help fund workshops for families on a low income and a new clubhouse to meet popular demand.
The event is free and runs from 11am to 3pm.
