THE BAKING efforts of staff at a pregnancy support charity helped raise much-needed funds for MacMillan Cancer.
The Stratford branch of the British Pregnancy Advisory Service joined The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and raised more than £1,600. The team also held a raffle with prizes donated from local businesses.
Spokesperson Sabby Hamill said: “It is the first time we have held an event such as this and we are absolutely delighted not only with our baking talent but also that everyone has supported this very worthy cause.
One in two people are affected by cancer so it is fantastic that we can do our bit to support the professionals who work tirelessly and selflessly to comfort those in pain and their families.”
