A CELEBRATION of ancient woodlands will mark the official launch of a scheme to restore and care for a swathe of Warwickshire countryside.
A Woodland Open Day, at Ryton Pools Country Park on Saturday (May 12) from 11am to 3pm, will highlight work being done to conserve Dunsmore Living Landscape – a wooded heartland linked by a network of hedgerows and meadows which stretches from the outskirts of Coventry and Leamington to the Fosse Way.
Activities for all ages will include horse logging, green woodworking, bug hunts, wood turning, hedgerow basketry, foraging walks, storytelling and natural archery.
