FASHIONABLE folk will be strutting out for Shakespeare Hospice in March.
Locals will be the stars of The Stratford Fashion Show at the ArtsHouse on Wednesday March 16 as they model clothes from town retailers in aid of the Shottery hospice.
Tickets are £15 each including a glass of fizz, and the first 250 purchasers will also receive a Gorgeous Obsession goody bag worth over £30. Tickets are on sale from Monday (January 24 )at many of the participating retailers and online from the ArtsHouse and hospice websites.
There will be a selection of clothes from 18 retailers including VH & Co and New Idle, and national retailers such as Debenhams and M&S.
The evening will also see customers of Sew Me Something, a haven for sewers and crafters, making clothes following Sew Me Something’s own patterns, and also modelling them, while local brides will model their own bridal gowns from Stratford wedding boutique Shakespeare in Love.
The Shakespeare Hospice and Cancer Research will be offering some top designer name clothing donated to their stores.
And the Gorgeous Obsession boutique salon will also be looking to Find the Face of Stratford 2016.
Shakespeare Hospice spokeswoman Vikki Calcutt said: “To have an opportunity to showcase the fashion of our town and raise money for our patients is a great one for us.
“We are really looking forward to the event and hope that people enjoy bidding on our Silent auction which will be filled with designer goodies like Prada handbags and Alexander McQueen purses.
“Thank you to Stratforward for pulling the evening together and to the businesses taking part for so generously donating their time to support us.”
Talented local make-up artists and hair stylists will come together to style the models. Hair will be styled by both Matthew Curtis, and the recently opened ENV Salon, with make up by Looking Glass Aesthetics and Gorgeous Obsession.
Catwalk clothes will be supplied by Aspire Style, Basler, BHS, Cancer Research, Debenhams, Domino, EWM, Gemini, Gorgeous Obsession, Jigsaw, M&S, New Idle, Sew Me Something, Shabby Chic Sister, Shakespeare in Love, The Shakespeare Hospice, VH & Co, and shoes and handbags by Nuha.
