A MUM and daughter were hit by a car when it mounted the pavement before ploughing into some scaffolding.

Emergency services found the car outside Henley Ice Cream on the High Street.

When the Hyundai mounted the kerb it hit two pedestrians, who were not badly injured after the incident on Saturday (May 6) at around 5pm. The driver was also unhurt, but all three were taken to Warwick Hospital.

The road was closed for around four hours while the scaffold was checked.

A spokesman from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “Thankfully the shop itself was closed at the time or we could have been dealing with a much more serious incident.”
